#30: Go to an art museum.

I suppose we could count Museo del Prado for this one. Or Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza. Or Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia (MNCARS). The museums were one of the highlights of Madrid. And I wandered in each of them long enough to have really sore feet from it. I basically spent an entire day (10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Ish.) in each of them.

I do admit that by the tail end of my time in the Prado, I was just ready to get out of there. Mainly because I went to a temporary exhibit last. An exhibit that seemed to consist entirely of paintings commemorating battles. Not so much my thing.

#48: Meet a snippet IRL.

Done! Well, not done in the "done it once never have to do it again" sense. But in the "yay, I managed to do something from the list" sense.

Had lunch with MOI and goodstuf3 on Sunday, November 6. I did have to do some juggling to fit that in, but it was worth it.

Picked up gs at the airport on the way into SF. Met up with MOI in the hotel lobby. Walked to the Metreon. In the food court we all decided on the same place (Charthouse?). The food was good, the company better. As I expected, it was just as easy to converse in real life as it is on the boards. Didn't feel like strangers meeting at all. We talked about stuff we'd already mentioned on the boards. We talked about new stuff. I managed to not spill food or drinks all over everyone despite what appeared to be earnest attempts to do just that. Then MOI had to go to the gym. gs and I stayed and hit the Starbucks and talked about tv and books and movies and all sorts of random stuff. However, gs married an alien. If she isn't there to turn on the TV, he wouldn't watch it. For a whole week even! :) Although he does have the good sense to hate Jess on Gilmore Girls, so maybe she can keep him around anyway.
